Conference Speech Meet
The Conference Speech meet for the Ord Team just about became forfeiture due to the icy roads Wednesday, February 15th. But even though the speech team got a late start at 10:00 to drive to Gibbon and missed a few first round competitions, the day was a very educational and rewarding experience.
The following students competed again for the Ord Speech team: Star Vera in Serious Prose; Ashley Bruha in Serious Prose; Amanda Shepperd in Poetry; Andrew Fields in Poetry; Sydney Boden in Informative; Taylor Hornickel in Persuasive Speaking; and Tori Beran, Ashley Bruha and Kirby Sheets in Oral Interpretation of Drama.
Finalists were Amanda Shepperd who won fifth place in Poetry and Andrew Fields who won third place in Poetry.
