The Culinary Arts class is working on a favorite desert for this special holiday. Pumpkin pie is one of the deserts that every kid looks forward to after eating all of that turkey. We are going to share with you one of the recipes for the famous pumpkin pie here are some of the Ingredients:

  1. 1-9 inch unbaked pie shell
  2. 2 cups pumpkin(not pumpkin pie filling)
  3. 3 eggs, separated
  4. 1 cup white sugar
  5. 1 cup sour cream
  6. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  7. 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  8. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  9. 1/4 teaspoon clove
  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1.  Beat together pumpkin, egg yolks, sour cream and seasonings until well blended.
  2. Beat egg whites to soft peak stage.
  3. Fold into pumpkin mixture.
  4. Pour carefully into pie shell.
  5. 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
  6. 350 degrees for 60 minutes (or until set).
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature and then refrigerate.

Now you can have a traditional desert that deserves to be eaten at any thanksgiving day. It is also one of the easy deserts to make and really fast to get ready if you are in a hurry to find something that the whole family will like and enjoy.
