The Chants were then able to get in the greatest formation in football, the victory formation and run out the clock. The Chants Coach Wells commented after the game, “Playoff time is big boy football, and we are proud of the boys for finding a way a win. We never saw any panic in them and just kept battling. Winning in the playoffs isn’t easy. We struggled to score in the redzone tonight on a few drives, give them credit, they have a good defense. We need to clean up a few things offensively and execute at a higher level. Mitchell is going to be a fast and physical team. We are excited that we are moving on and playing at home again next week. These boys have worked really hard to be in a position to host playoff games at home. They also represent our school and community in a positive way. If your willing and able, come to the game this week and support your Chanticleer football team.” The Quarterfinal game against Mitchell will be at 4:30 on Friday.
