On Saturday Night the Chants took on Centura in Ord. The Chants jumped to an 8-4 lead after the 1st quarter. “Our defense and rebounding carried us till we found our rhythm in the 1st half,” Coach Gates said.. The Chants would take a six-point lead at the half. The 3rd quarter would begin with a big Chant run that would take the lead to 12. The Chants would end up the quarter up nine before using another big run at the start of the 4th quarter to pull away from the Centurions for a 55-34 victory. “Our guys did a good job of really taking the momentum in the 2nd half..” Coach Gates said after the game. The Chants were led by Blake Hinrichs who had 28 points and nine rebounds in the win. Jordan Williams pitched in eight points and Talan Bruha added seven for the Chants. The Chants will take on GICC at home on Thursday Night before heading into the Christmas Break.
