On January 10, Ord FFA students traveled to Atkinson to participate in Leadership Development Events. These events highlight students’ speaking ability through various speaking contests. Ord FFA was represented well with 17 members participating. In the individual speaking contests, Hannah Klein received a blue ribbon in Employment Skills. In Junior Public Speaking, Cheyenne McCain received a red ribbon. In the Junior High Discovery Speaking, Kyptan Scheideler received 2nd place purple ribbon and will be advancing to the State FFA Convention held in April. In the group contests, our Junior High Quiz bowl team won the district contest. The team consisted of Elizabeth Skibinski, Chance Moudry, Kyptan Scheideler, and Jadyn Thompson. Mackenzie Zulkoski and Alexandra Jeffres also participated in the Junior High Quiz Bowl. Ord FFA had two Ag. Demonstration teams. The team of Grady Moudry, Cheyenne Reineke, Dawson Thompson, and Howard Winkelbauer received a blue ribbon for their demonstration of shop safety. The team of Adam Knapp, William Skibinski, Bailey Setlik, and Ethan Wadas received the 2nd place purple ribbon and will be advancing to the State FFA Convention for their demonstration of chemigation.
