Ord Public Schools

The Ord boys traveled to Ravenna to end the regular season on Friday night.  This was a rematch of a first-round game in the conference tournament 2 weeks before. The game didn’t start well for the Chants falling behind 8-2. The Chats would rally with a furry to take the first quarter 17-10. “We didn’t have a good start to any of the quarters in the first half but finished them well. Then we got going in the 2nd half.” Coach Gates would say after the game. The Chants would then win the 2nd quarter by two and took a 13-point lead into the locker room. In the 2nd half, the Chants would pull away from the Bluejays in a big way holding the Bluejays to 3 points in the 3rd quarter and finishing the game with a 60-36 victory. The Chants were led by Blake Hinrichs with 14 points and seven rebounds. Talan Bruha added 11 points and five rebounds and Elijah Pollard added 10 points and six rebounds for the Chants in the win. The Chants will open sub-district play and take on the Pierce Bluejays.
