The Ord High School track and field teams competed in the Mansfield Invitational last Thursday in Albion.  No team scores are kept for this meet because schools have unlimited entries for events.  “This was a great opportunity for a lot of our kids to set marks in a meet”, Coach Derry Trampe commented.  “It gives the kids a chance to compete, and it gives our coaches a chance to evaluate our kids as the season progresses.  We had a lot of quality marks set by our kids and a few surprises as well.  I felt very good about the way we competed.  Our girls established 12 personal best marks on the day while our boys had 24 personal best marks.  I did figure the scores for the meet and if team scores were kept, our boys would have finished second and our girls third.”
