Blake Hinrichs sets Meet and School Record in Triple Jump

The Ord High School track and field teams competed in the O’Neill Track and Field Invitational last Thursday and finished third in both team races.  The boys finished just 1 point out of second while the girls were 11 points back. “I felt much better about the way we competed in this meet than I did last week”, Coach Derry Trampe stated.  “It was another windy day, but we established some quality marks and had 26 personal best marks.  I was excited for Blake Hinrichs as he set a new school record in the triple jump.  He has been improving every week and he had two jumps that broke the old record.”  Hinrichs jumped 45’ 1.5” to establish a new school record.  The old record was set in 2021 by Quinton Ries at 44’ 0”.
