The annual Louplatte Conference track meet was held last Friday in Wood River where the Chants finished second in the girls’ team race and fourth in the boys’ team standings. “I was pleased with the way our kids competed in the conference meet”, Coach Derry Trampe commented.  “We had some injuries show up this week and we had some happen during the meet, but we had kids that stepped up and performed very well to keep us in a position to place in the top three teams.  We have a lot of depth and that helps on days when we have an athlete that is unable to compete. I was very pleased with the efforts of our kids.” The Chanticleer girls had won the three previous team championships before falling to Central City this year.  The Bison won the meet with 132 points while the Chants finished with 102 points.
