The Chant Golf Team shot a 336 at the Grand Island Central Catholic Invite and finished 7th in the 19 team meet.  The meet was loaded with excellent teams and provided a stiff test for the team. Adams Central won followed by Kearney Catholic.

It was 3 strokes from the lowest score of the season for Ord on the course they will be playing districts. They day left Coach Mike Bechtold optimistic.

“We are slowly developing into a team to contend with this season,” Bechtold said, “with each individual finding their weaknesses and correcting them weekly. If we can get it accomplished fairly quickly, we can contend at the end of the season.”

Caden Lytle was low for the Chants with a 79, which placed him 16th, one place from a medal.  Colt Meyer shot a season-low 84, Landon Critel shot 86, Brody Blair 87 and Austin Stethem 94.

“We have been in some highly competitive meets this season so our scores aren’t reflected in our placing, but the guys are playing well.”
