Centura - The Ord Chanticleers went on the road Friday night, steamrolling the Centura Centurions 63–7. From the beginning of the game to the final whistle, the Chanticleers put together their most complete performance of the season on both sides of the ball.

Ord wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard. Beau Wells broke free for a 23-yard touchdown run to start the night, followed by a 15-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Williams to Haydin Nelson. Landon Critel added a 15-yard scoring run to make it 20–0 after the first quarter.

The Chanticleers blew the game open in the second quarter, scoring four more times before halftime. Wells sprinted 29 yards for his second touchdown of the night, Grey Geiser powered in from the 1-yard line, and the defense joined the party as Caden Lytle had a 55-yard fumble return for a score, including a fun celebration in the endzone. Williams capped the half with an 11-yard touchdown run, giving Ord an overwhelming 48–0 lead at the break.

The second half was more of the same. Nelson added a 12-yard touchdown run in the third, and in the fourth quarter, Evan Lane found the end zone from 19 yards out before Calvin Thomsen converted the two-point run to finish the scoring.

Ord’s offense was unstoppable, piling up 404 total yards, including 330 on the ground. Wells led the rushing attack with 94 yards and two touchdowns, while Geiser (89 yards), Williams (37 yards, 1 TD), and H.Nelson (36 yards, 2 total TDs) all made major contributions. Williams also threw for 43 yards and a touchdown, connecting twice with H, Nelson, who finished with 29 receiving yards.

Defensively, the Chanticleers were just as dominant, forcing four turnovers, recording multiple sacks, and holding Centura to only 127 total yards and five first downs. Knox Nelson and Caden Lytle each came up with fumble recoveries, while Colton Thompson, Grey Geiser, Howard Winkelbauer, Caden Lytle, and Colt Meyer led the charge on defense. Meyer was almost perfect on the night, hitting on seven out of eight extra points.

“Our guys came out ready to play and executed in every phase,” said Head Coach Nate Wells. “The energy, the focus, the physicality—it was all there. That’s the kind of complete team effort we want to build on moving forward.”

With the win, Ord improves to 4–3 on the season and continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of district play. The Chanticleers will look to keep rolling next week when they go on the road to Cross County.
