On Saturday Night, the Ord Boys' Basketball team took a 24-5 lead in the 1st quarter and cruised to a victory over Centura. In the 2nd quarter, the Chants would slow down a bit and take a 34-15 to halftime, capped off by a buzzer-beating jumper by Beau Wells. “We had a fast start, and that was something we talked about all week, and the guys did a good job of executing on the defensive end.” Coach Gates said after the game. The Chants would keep growing the lead in the 2nd half and take the 71-36 victory. Beau Wells led the Chants with 18 points. Jordan Williams and Knox Nelson would each add 14 points in the win. Williams would also add six steals on the night.  The Chants were led in rebounds by Colton Thompson with nine. Easton Ryschon would add eight points and seven rebounds for the Chants. Nelson and Finn Reily would each add seven rebounds for the Chants. The Chants will host top 10 GICC on Tuesday night before heading to North Bend for the holiday tournament, where they open with Fort Calhoun.
