Bechtold singled out Grey Geiser for his performance.
“Grey filled in for Colt Meyer who was ill and really played well for us. I was impressed at how he performed.”
The Chants also played in the GICC Invite at Indianhead on Tuesday. The Chants finished 7th in the 19-team field littered with top area teams. They shot a 329 on the day.
Caden Lytle medaled 13th with a 77. Landon Critel shot 81, Colt Meyer 84, Austin Stethem 87 and Brody Blair 95.
Coach Bechtold was pleased with the performance.
“It was a good day for us as we lowered our team score and held our own with some of the top teams in the state. Even though we finished 7th, we beat several very good area teams.”
