More than 500 students from 18 high schools competed in the Mid Plains North Platte Community College For the 53rd Inter-High Day Scholastic contest.  Schools earned points based on how well their students placed in the academic divisions.  The top three point earning schools received a plaque and a $500 scholarship to award to a student of their choice.  Winners in each category received a medal and a $500 scholarship to the college.  Additionally, those placing first through third earned certificates for up to three credit hours of summer tuition.

Medaling for Ord High School were Calen Pollard who received a gold medal for 1st place in the Mathematics test, Sam Schmer a silver medal for 2nd place in the Introduction to Business test, Hannah Masin a silver medal for 2nd place in the Music/Vocal Soloist test, Britta Deden a bronze medal for 3rd place in Music Theory and Rainna Sierks a bronze medal for 3rd place in Poetry Writing.
