FCCLA members have been hard at work preparing for the State Leadership Conference held in Lincoln April 3-5th, 2022. Students that qualified for the State STAR Event Competition include Jazmen Birkel, Trinity Chatfield, Hannah Klein, Aracely Negrete, and Lillie Shoemaker. Jazmen will be competing in the event “Professional Presentation- Level 3” and her topic is about the important role that sleep plays in a teenager’s physical and mental health. Trinity Chatfield will be competing in the event “Professional Presentation- Level 1” and her speech is about adoption. Aracely and Lillie are competing in a team event called “Chapter in Review Display -Level 1”. They have created a display board and presentation showcasing what our FCCLA chapter has completed this year. Hannah will be busy at the state conference competing in “Career Investigation-Level 2” with her presentation about Dermatology and has also secured a finalist spot for the State Peer Officer Career Leader Team. She will present a speech, interview with judges, and take a knowledge test at state. These FCCLA Members will be competing against other members across the state for the opportunity to compete at the National Leadership Conference this summer. In the past few weeks, FCCLA qualifying members have been preparing their speeches and creating their boards in preparation for the State Leadership Conference. We are so proud of all of our FCCLA members accomplishments and wish them good luck at the State Leadership Conference!
