The Chants began the week by playing at Wood River. The game started slow but by the end of the 1st quarter, it was 12-7 with the Eagles on top. Then the Eagles would clamp down on the Chants and begin a big run. Allowing the Eagles to take a 20-point lead at halftime. The Eagles would keep the pressure on and gain a 68-28 victory. The Chants were led by Blake Hinrichs with ten points. 

On Thursday the Chants hosted C-2 number 1 and undefeated Doniphan Trumbull. The Cardinals would use a hot shooting night to take an early and they would never look back and gain a 77-35 victory. “Give them credit that they are a really good team and they proved it tonight.” Coach Gates said after the game.  The Chants were led by Blake Hinrichs with ten points.   The Chants will open the Lou Platte Tournament on Monday at home vs Gibbon before a possible rematch at Doniphan Trumbull on Tuesday.
