The predictions are hard on this storm but it does appear icy weather is still on its way and will impact the area with ice and hazardous driving conditions. Out of abundance of caution, the Ord Public Schools will be closed Thursday, December 8th. Stay safe!
Due to predicted icy roads and hazardous driving conditions during the morning drive, there will be a 10:00 Late Start Thursday December 8th. Should significant winter weather increase or arrive ahead of schedule, the decision to hold school will be re-evaluated in the morning. While we realize this isn't the most convenient for our families, the safety of our students is our first priority and we want to give our families as much advance notice of our plans as possible. Due to the forecast for ice and snow on Thursday, December 8, the jr. high game with Ravenna has been cancelled as well as the reserve girls game. The girls varsity game has been postponed to Saturday, December 10 at 4:00 pm. There will only be a varsity girls game on Saturday.
The send-off for the state qualifying drama team will now be tonight at 6:30 PM by the vintage gym.
FFA has also postponed their fruit pick-up for tomorrow. It will be Friday, Dec 9th starting at 5:30 PM on the North side of the High School by the greenhouse.

Schedule change for 9/10 girls basketball. Due to a conflict in schedule, the 9/10 girls basketball team will now play Northwest in Ord on Monday, December 12 at 6:00 pm. The game will be in the new gym. This will be a girls game only.

Activity schedule changes for December. Jr. High Wrestling Triangular on Monday, Dec. 5 has been cancelled. 9/10 Girls and Boys basketball at Northwest has been moved to Tuesday, January 10 starting at 6:00 pm.

The start time for the district drama meet has been pushed back to 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 29. With that Ord will perform at 10:45 am on that date.
Schedule change for Tuesday, November 22. The jr. high girls basketball game in Burwell will be in the high school gym starting at 6:30 pm. The jr. high wrestling vs. Burwell and St. Paul will be in the elementary gym in Burwell starting at 5:30 pm.
