To fans planning on attending the Jr. High Football Game on Monday, Oct 5th in Gibbon: Gibbon is limiting fans at events and all fans will need to have a ticket to attend. Masks/Face coverings are required for the duration of the event at all times. Guest tickets are limited to parents and/or siblings of players and may be requested by requesting tickets tonight at the Jr High Game when announced or contacting Mr. Trampe or Mrs. Orent at the Ord Activity Department at 308-728-5013 ext 7. Tickets will be sent home with Jr. High Football players later this week.
CAN’T STOP, WON'T STOP FEEDING OUR KIDS!
We are happy to announce the USDA Summer Food Service Program has been given an extension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All enrolled and attending K-12 students of Ord Public Schools will be eligible to receive meals for free, regardless of their economic status.
Again, all students, no matter what their Free/Reduced/Full Pay status, will receive free breakfast and lunch. This program is authorized until the program no longer is funded or until December 31, 2020. Meals will include both our breakfast program and our lunch program. Optional extra purchased items will still be charged to student accounts.
We were able to apply for the program to be retro-active so if your child has been charged for a meal during the 2020-21 school year, we will be crediting their meal accounts for those meals. We will not be issuing cash back but rather crediting accounts to be used when our regular food service program resumes in January 2021. Since this crediting process may take some time, we ask that you be patient as we undertake this process. We hope that this program will provide our students and families with some economic relief in the fall semester and are pleased to be a part of this program with the USDA.
