As part of our Return to School Plan, regular updates will occur to keep our community informed of where we are at with planning. The Loup Basin has reported being in the Yellow Risk Dial Zone and we are also in the Yellow Operational Zone in our local school community.
Aligning with open and transparent communication, we are informing stakeholders that there is a positive student case at OHS. Due to masks being used, the quarantine impact on other students is small. Family members and close contact individuals have been directed to quarantine per the Loup Basin guidelines. Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure that everything possible to minimize additional cases or additional quarantine situations stemming from this positive case is being done, students in grades 7-12 will be required to wear masks until further notice. Additional deep cleaning has occurred in high contact areas over the weekend and additionally when the student left school earlier in the week after being symptomatic. We will continue to monitor the health of our local community and work with Loup Basin Health Department to communicate our Operational Zones.
