This is an evolving plan and we will do our best to adjust to the needs of our students. Thank you for your patience as we work hard to provide meals to our students. If you have food concerns for your family, please contact either school office and we will help your family.

| OHS PICKUP INFORMATION |
Students and Parents of OHS,
We recognize the need for students to collect materials from teachers and lockers. To accommodate all of our students, a schedule was created to alleviate all students from coming at once. The schedule can be seen below. If the schedule does not work for your family, please contact the front office to make other arrangements.
Starting MONDAY, MARCH 23rd, we ask that students arrive at our south entrance near the high school office. Upon arrival, Mr. Snyder will make contact with you to determine what you need from the building. Your items will be relayed to a teacher, who will gather them and bring them to you. PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE OR OUTSIDE DURING THIS PROCESS. Thank you for your patience during this time.

School Closure Communication: https://5il.co/dytk

Please come by OHS if you would like to have 2-3
Grab and Go Breakfasts and Lunches for your children. All children 18 and Under can get these meals free of charge. Children do not need to be present. If you are unable to make it to the school and would like meals for your children, please contact either school office and we will make arrangements to get the food to you.

Guidelines that will need to be followed regarding activities at Ord Public Schools during our school closure period are as follows:
Activity/Sports Practices--Coaches and sponsors will not meet with the participants in their respective activities during this time. If students want to communicate with their coaches, they can but they should not meet with them for direct instruction.
Accessibility to Indoor Facilities--Students and community members will not be allowed to use the indoor facilities of Ord Public Schools during the closure. This allows us to keep the facilities clean and disinfected for the safety of all involved.
Outdoor Facilities--The track and golf course will be available for students that want to work on improving their skills. However, please limit the number of students that would be in a group. You will want to keep distance between yourself and the other people that may be using the track or the golf course. The school will not provide equipment for practice. For example, we will not make pole vault poles, shot puts, discuses, or high jump standards available for student use. This is a liability issue that we need to avoid. Again, this is in accordance with guidelines that are currently set.
We would encourage students to get some type of workout in if they desire but there will be NO mandatory practice sessions during the school closure.
As per NSAA guidelines, a coach may not provide direct instruction to more than 4 athletes at one time when a season is not in session. Since the spring activities seasons have been suspended, they are now considered not in session. Since school is not in session, no coach or sponsor will be meeting with students. Our coaches must adhere to this ruling.
We will update these guidelines if and when we receive more information and direction from the NSAA and the other government agencies that are monitoring our current situation.
Thank you to all for your patience and understanding as we work our way through these unusual times.
Derry Trampe, Activities Director
